Managing West Pennine Moors

West Pennine Moors Management Plan (2010–2020)

The West Pennine Moors Management Plan was approved by the Area Management Committee on Tuesday 9th March 2010.

 

The purpose of the new plan is to ensure an integrated approach to the management of the area and help secure a sustainable future for this special landscape.  The plan is presented as a 10-year vision, with a 5-year action plan for implementation from 2010 -2015.  The action plan contains detailed objectives and actions to be delivered by the West Pennine Moors partnership.  These are organised into the following themes:

 

  • Natural and Historic Environment
  • Community and Education
  • Local Economy
  • Enjoyment and Access
  • Partnership and Management
  • Responding to Climate Change
